We’ve released a number of new additions and enhancements to ShopPad that will greatly improve your customers mobile shopping experience on tablets and smartphones:

Manually Sorted Products
By popular request, Shopify collections containing manually ordered products will now be sorted exactly the same in ShopPad. Simply rearrange your products from your Shopify Admin and ShopPad will pick up the changes on the next automatically scheduled update.
Hide Out-of-Stock Products
We have added a configuration that lets you decide whether to show or hide out-of-stock products in your catalog. On your ShopPad configuration dashboard, just toggle the switch to ON or OFF.
As always, shoppers trying to add an out-of-stock product to their cart will still be prompted and prevented from adding the item to their cart.
Enhanced Tablet Views
We have improved the tablet interface across the board. The “Category Cover” option now presents larger, more detailed thumbnail images which encourage shoppers to tap and engage.
Category pages have also been improved when shoppers switch between landscape and portrait orientations. Product descriptions include more formatting options including: bolded, italics, underlined and strike-through text as well as ordered and un-ordered lists.
Shoppers in the checkout flow who forgot an item, then return to ShopPad will now see their items automatically saved in the cart and can continue to shop with ease.
This improvement decreases cart abandonment and provides a better overall shopping experience.
You asked and we listened! You can now select the displayed URL shoppers see with a custom domain (or sub-domain). We recommend a short subdomain such as “m” or “mobile” letting your shoppers see the URL as “m.yourdomain.com” which is more professional and instills trust.
To use this feature, you will need to create a CNAME record that is pointed to “domains.theshoppad.com”. After the domain propagates you will need to link this domain on your ShopPad configuration dashboard.Contact your domain registrar or our support team if you need any help.
Page Links & Videos
When editing your pages from the ShopPad configuration dashboard, new options are now available to add embedded videos, external links and mailto’s within ShopPad pages.
New Language Translations
ShopPad is now available in over six different languages, including; Norwegian, Dutch, English, German, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin.
Please let us know if there are additional languages you would like to see ShopPad translated into.
Order Attribute: Device Distinction
Shopify stores can now see what devices your orders are coming from. Look for the “ShopPad_smartphone” or “ShopPad_tablet” attribute when orders are received.
